Mitch Mitchell's Major Contributions to the Jimi Hendrix Experience Sound
Jazz-rock Fusion: Mitchell successfully blended the improvisational qualities of jazz drumming with the power of rock.
Dynamic Interplay: Mitch was a highly musical and creative drummer who complemented and engaged in a dynamic dialogue with Jimi Hendrix's guitar playing, rather than simply keeping time.
Unique Approach: Mitch's playing was heavily inspired by prominent jazz drummers like Elvin Jones and incorporated complex rudimental patterns, but was executed with a rock star's energy.
Producer - Mitch produced three albums after Hendrix's death with Eddie Kramer.
